ATLANTA — The Louisiana-Lafayette women’s basketball team finished a four-game road swing with a 77-57 victory at Georgia State on Saturday.
The Cajuns (12-3, 5-1 Sun Belt) improved to 4-1 in conference road games this season and won their fourth straight game over Georgia State in the all-time series using a 20-5 run in the first quarter.
“I thought Jaylyn (Gordon) and Kia (Wilridge) played great games,” Ragin’ Cajuns coach Garry Brodhead said. “Both handled the ball well and pressured the ball on defense. It’s big for us to hold them to five points in the first quarter.
