LAFAYETTE — Garry Brodhead is hoping that home-court history is on his team’s side Thursday night. He’s also glad that his University of Louisiana at Lafayette women’s basketball squad has Arkansas State off its own home floor.
The Red Wolves are the only team the Ragin’ Cajuns (16-5, 9-3) are looking up to in the Sun Belt Conference standings. And the gap between the Cajuns and Arkansas State (18-3, 12-0) would be a lot tighter had it not been for the team’s earlier meeting in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Brodhead has bad memories of that game, an 83-56 Red Wolves’ victory, easily the worst loss of the year for UL-Lafayette.
