LAFAYETTE – On a hot day at the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Complex the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker in double overtime, 3-2, to the Appalachian State Mountaineers.
The loss drops the Cajuns record to 5-8-2 (2-4-2 SBC) while the win for Appalachian State improves their record to 3-10-3 (2-5-1 SBC).
Louisiana did get two goals on the day, the first being freshman Molly Davis' first career goal, while senior Denice Emokpae put her fourth goal of the season into the net late in the match.
HOW IT HAPPENED (First Half): Right off the bat the Cajuns were aggressive and their hard work paid off within the first 10 minutes of the match with an early goal.
