STATESBORO, Ga. – A four-run sixth inning was the difference on Sunday as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team fell to Georgia Southern in the rubber match of the series at J.I. Clements Stadium.
The Ragin' Cajuns (8-11, 1-2 SBC) outhit the Eagles (9-11, 2-1 SBC) for the third straight contest with a slight 7-6 edge.
Junior Hogan Harris took the loss after giving up four runs on two hits and two walks in 1.2 innings of work.
Reliever Cole Whitney earned the victory for Georgia Southern tossing a career-high 5.1 scoreless innings with two hits and six strikeouts.
