NEW ORLEANS – For the second time in three weeks, Louisiana junior forward Jordan Brown is the Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
In a pair of non-conference victories last week, Brown averaged a league-leading 28.5 points per game to complement 5.5 rebounds per game. Brown shot 72.4 percent (21-of-29) from the field during the week. The Ragin' Cajuns defeated Louisiana Christian and McNeese to improve their record to 10-1.
Brown scored a career-high 37 points in a 98-63 win against Louisiana Christian before tallying a team-high 20 points with five boards in a 78-70 road victory at McNeese.
