LAFAYETTE – No. 15 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball had its season-opening 11-match win streak snapped, and its debut as a ranked team spoiled, on Friday morning at Earl K. Long Gym as Texas State claimed a 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-14) win in the opening contest of a three-match Sun Belt series.
With the loss, the 2020 Ragin' Cajuns settle for the second-best start in program history. The squad's remarkable opening-season run is second only to the program-record 13 consecutive wins recorded by the 1990 team.
