LAFAYETTE – Hot bats and a dazzling display on the hill by sophomore Logan Savoy were the recipe for success on Tuesday evening as Louisiana took down Southeastern Louisiana, 8-2, at Russo Park.
The victory was a historic one as well, serving as career win No. 900 for head coach Tony Robichaux while at the helm of the Ragin' Cajuns' program. Robichaux entered the season as the eighth-winningest active head coach in Division I baseball and now has 1,163 overall wins in his career.
Louisiana (14-16, 4-5) put together a complete game on Tuesday, outhitting SLU, 9-3, while Savoy and Connor Cooke fanned eight Lions and allowed just two unearned runs.
