JONESBORO, Ark. — Arkansas State made six of its first seven shots in the first quarter, jumping out to 27-15 lead en route to an 83-56 win over the University of Louisiana at Lafayette women’s basketball team on Saturday at the Convocation Center.
The Red Wolves were 17-of-28 (60.7) in the first half for a 41-30 halftime lead. Arkansas State led by as many as 22 points in the third quarter of the battle for first place in the Sun Belt Conference.
Khadi Brown-Haywood scored 22 points and had 18 rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots for the Red Wolves (10-3, 4-0).
