It would have been a silly question had you been asked it at the start of the season: Jared Goff or John Wolford?
Wolford started the year on the Rams practice squad, with his lone professional games coming in the short-lived Alliance of American Football. Goff was the unquestioned starter of a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
But here we are. A frustrating up-and-down regular season from Goff ended with a dislocated thumb, and Wolford was forced into action for the season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.
Things couldn’t have started worse, after he telegraphed an interception on his first career pass attempt, deep in the Rams’ own territory.
