With the Rams gone, Jones Dome gets new name

ST. LOUIS • The name’s still there on the roof, in 40-foot-tall lettering. But don’t call it the Edward Jones Dome.

The St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission, which runs the facility, has decided that the former home of the St. Louis Rams on Friday becomes “The Dome at America’s Center.”

In January, National Football League owners approved the Rams’ move to Los Angeles. In February, Edward Jones, the giant financial services company, sent termination letters cancelling its naming rights contract with the Rams and the facility.

The contract was signed in 2002.
