The Univeristy of Miami graduation ceremonies took a somber turn on Thursday night as Raquel Smtih, the widow of slain retired NFL standout Will Smith received his MBA on his behalf.
Raquel, who was shot in both of her legs during the attack in New Orleans on April 9 that killed Will, was in a wheelchair and can be seen wiping tears as she is presented with the degree on stage.
As she is wheeled away, the crowd cheers loudly.
The Saints posted a brief video of the exchange on their Twitter page.
