On Wednesday, the Philadelphia Eagles traded up to get the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft from the Cleveland Browns.
Should the Los Angeles Rams at No. 1 and Eagles at No. 2 each take a quarterback with the top two picks in next week’s draft, it will be the seventh time in the common draft era (since 1967) that quarterbacks will have been taken 1-2 overall.
If quarterbacks are taken first and second overall in this draft, it would be the second time in the common draft era that quarterbacks went 1-2 in consecutive drafts.
