Despite the high expectations for Jared Goff heading into his first full season as the starter for the Los Angeles Rams, the team was still expected to bring in another backup since Case Keenum, who ended up joining the Minnesota Vikings, wasn’t worth keeping around. With Sean Mannion at backup, the Rams brought Aaron Murray on board during free agency, but it looks like the former Georgia quarterback is looking for a new home once again, which has become quite the common theme already throughout his career.
Murray was waived by Los Angeles this week, as it looks like the team is leaning towards having just two quarterbacks on the roster for the 2017 season.
