The LA Rams and the San Francisco 49ers traded places somewhat in 2018 and 2019. In 2018, it was the LA Rams who swept the 49ers en route to Super Bowl LIII, only to lose to the New England Patriots. In 2019, it was the San Francisco 49ers who swept the Rams en route to Super Bowl LIV, only to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs.
