The Los Angeles Rams could be in an interesting situation come next April. Last week, the details of quarterback Matthew Stafford’s contract were finally released. The adjustment essentially makes Stafford’s deal a one-year, $40M contract.
Due to the contract adjustment essentially being a one-year deal with an ‘out’ the Rams are in a team that could be in the market for a young quarterback. Stafford and the Rams will very likely be doing the same dance next year. Now, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the Rams would be looking for an Stafford replacement, but having one in mind would have to be in the cards.
