COLUMBIA, Mo. • Former Missouri star Sheldon Richardson was the NFL’s biggest newsmaker on Thursday. And that’s usually a bad sign the first day of training camp.
The Post-Dispatch was the first to report that Richardson faces charges of resisting arrest in connection with a late night, high-speed street race on July 14 in O’Fallon, where the New York Jets defensive lineman was clocked at 143 miles per hour in his 2014 Bentley.

Richardson, 24, has an arraignment scheduled in St. Charles County Circuit Court for Aug.
