Back in 2016, the Los Angeles Rams decided to take a risk on former Western Kentucky standout tight end Tyler Higbee, despite his off-the-field issues leading up to the NFL Draft that unfortunately led to an arrest. Obviously, the last thing the Rams wanted to do was bring a troubled player to the team, but Higbee made it clear that what happened was a mistake, and there was no reason for the team to be concerned over his habits off the field.
Production wise, Higbee didn’t really make that much of an impact as a rookie after only catching 11 passes for 85 yards to go along with a trip into the end zone.
