Trumaine Johnson Officially Signs Franchise Tag

Defensive back Trumaine Johnson officially signed his franchise tag with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday as first reported by Senior National Writer Peter Schrager.

Johnson enters his sixth season with the Rams after a 2016 campaign where he posted career-highs with 13 pass deflections and two fumble recoveries.

“I feel blessed, honored and really grateful to the organization for placing the tag on me for the second year," Johnson said. "It starts at the top – from Mr. Kroenke, to Les Snead and to Coach McVay, I’m thankful. This is my third contract and I’m back with my brothers, my teammates again.
