St. Louis Rams running back Trey Watts was suspended indefinitely Wednesday for a violation of the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news. Watts, 24, has appeared in only one game this season and has not recorded an offensive statistic. He was listed fourth on the Rams' running back depth chart behind Todd Gurley, Tre Mason and Benjamin Cunningham. It was only last month the team brought him up from the practice squad.
The league suspended the Tulsa product in May for the first four games of the 2015 season for a previous substance-abuse violation.
