EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Five games into his NFL career, St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley is already in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Well, sort of.
After setting a record for most rushing yards by a player in his first four starts of the Super Bowl era in last week's 27-6 win against the San Francisco 49ers, Gurley's jersey and cleats were shipped to Canton, Ohio, to be added to an exhibit in the Hall of Fame.
Following the team's win, Gurley received multiple requests to swap jerseys with 49ers players but declined in part because he had made some history while wearing it.
