ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley didn't have much room to run Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With the Bucs loading up the run box to slow him down, Gurley mustered just 48 yards on 21 carries. But he did manage to find enough room to push his way into a piece of Rams history.
As Gurley stretched the ball out for a 3-yard touchdown in the second quarter of the Rams' 31-23 win, he gave the Rams six points but also reached the 1,000-yard rushing mark in the process.
