The Tennessee Titans have informed Pro Bowl guard Rodger Saffold that they are releasing him, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Saffold was entering the final season of a four-year, $44 million contact, and he was due a $1 million roster bonus next week.
Releasing Saffold will save $10.4 million in salary-cap space for the Titans.
Saffold earned his first Pro Bowl nod last season. The 33-year-old has 157 career starts in 160 games with the Titans and Rams, who drafted him in the second round in 2010.
