ST. JOSEPH, MO. • Nick Foles knew his time was up with the Rams, long before they traded up to No. 1 overall in the draft for Jared Goff.
“I’m not a big public guy, so I keep that stuff to myself,” Foles said. “But there was definitely a process that was already ongoing for quite a while.”
Foles said he reported for the first couple of weeks of Rams spring practices in Oxnard, Calif., but spent the rest of the offseason training on his own.
Unable to work out a trade for Foles, the Rams released him July 27.
