It was nearly a year ago to the day that cornerback Janoris Jenkins told the Post-Dispatch he didn’t like a contract offer made by the Rams. He’d wait until the end of season to act on a new one.
“I’ll play it out,” Jenkins said at the time. “I’m gonna bet on myself.”
It turned out to be a great bet. Jenkins signed a five-year, $62.5 million free-agent deal with the New York Giants, including $28.8 million in guaranteed money.
On Sunday, the player known as “Jackrabbit” faces his old team when the Giants play the now-Los Angeles Rams in London.
