If you’re into analytics, the numbers don’t add up for the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll give you a headache if you try to categorize them in that fashion.

Entering Sunday’s home game with Tennessee, the Chiefs rank 24th in total offense and 27th in total defense. Of the 18 teams with winning records in the NFL, they’re one of only two teams that don’t rank among the top half of the league in either category. (The other is Miami, which is 26th in total offense and 25th in total defense.)

“There’s only one number that counts,” safety Eric Berry told Chiefs reporters.
