Former Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers appears in line to start this weekend for the Houston Texans while Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce are not practicing due to injury. Houston is set to take on another one of Akers’ former teams in the Minnesota Vikings this weekend at US Bank Stadium.
No sign of RBs Joe Mixon or Dameon Pierce today. They haven’t practiced this week. Looking more and more like a Cam Akers week.

Akers hasn’t started a game since Week 1 last season when he opened as the lead back for the Rams and carried the ball 22 times to Kyren Williams’ 15.
