The Rams have drafted off-the-ball linebackers before the sixth round only twice since 2009 and continued that trend in 2017 by again drafting no off-the-ball linebackers and bringing in PFF’s 38th graded linebacker from 2016, Kevin Davis from Colorado State, who had an overall grade of 83.3.
Davis averaged a missed tackle every 13.1 tackle attempts, which was ranked 35th out of 267 linebackers in 2016.
Davis’ 103 stops over the last two seasons are just two less than Alabama’s Reuben Foster in that same time span.
