The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ruled it will not hear a petition by Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke, his team and the National Football League to settle its relocation lawsuit in arbitration.
The high court’s decision means the lawsuit will either be settled out of court or go to trial in St. Louis Circuit Court next year.
The case had faced long odds of reaching the U.S. Supreme Court, which hears only a fraction of thousands of petitions it receives each year.
