Opponents of building a new publicly-funded St. Louis sports stadium without a vote are hoping for another shot with the Missouri Supreme Court.
Last month the court sent back to the Eastern District Court of Appeals the request of three city residents to intervene in a case between St. Louis and the taxing district that owns the former Edward Jones Dome, challenging the city's ordinance on financing sports stadiums. On Tuesday, the appeals court stuck with its previous ruling rejecting their request, but with additional language regarding a previous case the Supreme Court wanted the justices to consider.
