The St. Louis Rams have no plans to fire coach Jeff Fisher after this season and would like him to return for the 2016 season, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It is not known if Fisher wants to return, however.
Fisher, who signed a five-year, $35 million contract in 2012, is under contract through the 2016 season. Fisher's record in St. Louis is 25-35-1.
The Rams are 5-8 on the season and play Thursday night against the Buccaneers. St. Louis defeated the Lions, 21-14, last Sunday to snap a five-game losing streak in which it lost by 24 points three times during the skid.
