The Los Angeles Rams are re-signing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to serve as a backup to starter Matthew Stafford, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.
Garoppolo was generating interest from other teams, sources told ESPN, but, like Stafford, opted to return to Los Angeles. Stafford agreed to a restructured deal to return last month.
Garoppolo, 33, signed a one-year deal last March to serve as Stafford's backup during the 2024 season. After serving a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's performance enhancing substances policy, Garoppolo was Los Angeles' No.
