DETROIT -- At one point you just had to rub your eyes, refocus and make sure that was actually Rams quarterback Case Keenum out there.
It looked like he was back at the University of Houston, where he set every NCAA passing record imaginable. It looked like Kurt Warner had somehow slipped on a No. 17 jersey. It looked like Keenum was in complete control, carving up the Detroit Lions' sketchy secondary while putting together the best game of his NFL career.
Then it happened.
Down three with just over a minute left and the winning touchdown 71 yards away, Keenum threw into triple coverage and was intercepted, sealing the Los Angeles Rams' 31-28 loss at Ford Field.
