Cornerback has been the subject of much offseason speculation. After signing his franchise tender for the second year in a row, rumors circulated of the possibility that the defensive back could be traded.
Nevertheless, Johnson has been an active participant in Los Angeles’ offseason program. And on Tuesday, general manager Les Snead said he doesn’t anticipate moving Johnson in the near future.
“No, right now, I think we’re more into OTAs and let’s see if we can get something done by the end of this thing,” Snead said, referring to a long-term contract extension. “That’s where we’re at right now.
