Slow start costly in Rams' 24-10 loss

LANDOVER, Md. • The Rams have had a few trademark wins under coach Jeff Fisher, only to come back the next week and lose to a very beatable opponent.

It happened again Sunday at FedEx Field. Fresh off an attention-grabbing overtime victory a week ago against Seattle, the Rams came out flat — about as flat as can be against Washington.

As a result, the team's hopes of starting 2-0 for the first time since 2001 never got off the launching pad in a 24-10 loss to Washington.
