For months, L.A. Rams fans and media have speculated if the team could sign four-time second-team All-Pro Justin Simmons and dramatically upgrade a position of need. The Rams were set to enter training camp with free agent signing Kamren Curl, rookie third round pick Kamren Kinchens, and returnee Russ Yeast at safety prior to bringing back John Johnson for a third time on Thursday.
It would seem like good news for other safeties that Johnson would get an opportunity for an eighth NFL season, but that could not be further from the truth.
