On Friday, it has been reported that teams are eyeing a trade with Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Connor McGovern. McGovern was a third-round pick out of Penn State in the 2019 draft who has versatility at the center and guard position. At Penn State, the 6’5” 323-pound guard was a huge part of the run game creating lanes for current New York Giants star running back Saquon Barkley.
The Los Angeles Ram’s depth at the offensive line to this point hasn't been encouraging at all, especially in the run game. Head coach Sean McVay wasn't pleased with their performance against the Chargers and although not directly calling the group out, it was evident that is what he was eluding to by calling the run game ‘sloppy’.
