When the Los Angeles Rams drafted defensive tackle Bobby Brown, he came along with a developmental, high ceiling/low floor label. Selected at #117 in Round 4 of the 2021, the Texas A&M Aggie was a boom-or-bust prospect. Full of potential, he has the size, athletic/physical traits, and penetration/playmaking skills to become a rare commodity— a nose tackle that can excel as run-stopper and pass rusher.
But there were big inconsistencies in his technique and pad level that went along with something no player wants to be tagged with. Draft pundits questioned his motor and conditioning with a general consensus thinking that despite his potential he was only a mid-round pick and unlikely to be a three-down pro player.
