CBS made a bold move this week by dumping longtime lead NFL game analyst Phil Simms for an unproven rookie, just-retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
“It’s going to be a great challenge for me,” Romo said on a conference call arranged by CBS. “I’m going to have to learn this craft, and I’m going to have to improve. And improve quickly. That’s kind of exciting. The competitive aspect of that gets me excited to get up and go attack it. I hope that I’m able to make the CBS family proud of their decision.”
It’s a big decision for CBS.
