Nearly two years ago, the Los Angeles Rams made the decision in free agency to sign Robert Woods to a five-year deal to provide another weapon for Jared Goff to work with in the passing game.
Back then, the Rams were viewed as one of the league’s biggest laughing stocks after coming off a 2016 season in which the team averaged just 14 points per game, with one of the reasons being their receiving corps was one of the weakest in the league.
At the time, it was easy to understand the decision by Los Angeles to go after Woods after looking at the potential he brought to the table, but also there were some fans who weren’t 100 percent sold on the idea.
