The Rams grabbed one of my absolute favorite cornerback prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft on Saturday, selecting Robert Rochelle out of Central Arkansas with the 130th overall pick in the fourth round. GM Les Snead first traded down from 121 to 130, upgrading a sixth round pick to a fifth round pick in the process, then landed a long corner with fantastic upside in Rochelle.
Rochelle was a Senior Bowl standout who “has the traits” according to NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah. He had some “wow interceptions” also, according to Jeremiah. He is 5’11, 195 lbs, but has the 32 3/8” arms that coaches crave from outside corners.
