Apparently so. The Rams felt so strongly about Nick Foles they signed him to a $24.5 million contract extension that could keep him around through the 2017 season. And they did so before he’d thrown even a preseason pass.
Foles has gotten progressively better on the field, first through the offseason practices, then camp and then the preseason. His arm looks stronger now than it did in June. In terms of leadership and presence, he seems to have made a quick connection with teammates. But even Rams coaches would concede some unknowns remain as Foles continues to learn the offense.
