ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The proposed riverfront football stadium in St. Louis already has cost taxpayers $3 million, according to a newspaper report Tuesday.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1HXYj92 ) reported that that figure is based on the latest invoices released this week from financing advisers, railroad track engineers, contract attorneys and management.
Architectural firm HOK so far has billed more than $2.2 million, while the stadium's design and construction manager has put in for more than $190,000 and attorneys nearly $260,000.
The public St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority - owner and operator of the Edward Jones Dome, the Rams' current home - is paying nearly all the bills, with the state picking up the tab on some financial advice, the Post-Dispatch said.
