Per ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the Los Angeles Rams have signed DT Michael Brockers to a three-year extension:

On one front, it’s solid news for a core member of the Rams’ defensive line. Brockers was the Rams’ first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft after two successive trades out of the #2 overall spot ultimately used by Washington to select Robert Griffin III. In his four NFL seasons, Brockers has 109 tackles and 14.5 sacks.
On the other front...it’s pretty obvious why the Rams waited to announce the deal.
