If Carson Wentz turns out to be a good quarterback again, then the NFC just saw another quality player at the game’s most important position move over to the other conference and the AFC got that much harder. If not, then I guess the NFC could be no worse without Wentz.
Adam Schefter tweeted on Thursday morning that the Philadelphia Eagles have traded Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2021 third and a conditional 2021 second round pick that could become a first. It appears to be a lot more than what the LA Rams could have gotten for Jared Goff in a deal that didn’t involve Matthew Stafford, but the upside is that the trade did involve Stafford.
