After losing Brandon Staley to the Chargers, the Rams are attempting to fill the defensive coordinator position with another very capable coach. According to reports from NFL insider Mike Garafolo, they’re striving for former Falcons defensive coordinator/interim head coach Raheem Morris.
Morris went 4-7 at the helm in the final 11 games of 2020 following the firing of head coach Dan Quinn after Atlanta began the year on a five-game losing streak.
The Falcons finished the year as the 29th-ranked team in total defense (398.4), but still held the sixth-best rushing defense at the same time, allowing just 104.
