After initially being very skeptical about the prospects of a 2020 season being possible given all that’s happen regarding the coronavirus pandemic, head coach Sean McVay has recently softened up on the idea of pushing through with football this year.
Besides the obvious obstacles that stand in the way of the NFL, individual teams will have to navigate their own issues, which will include players falling ill and potential opt outs before the season even begins. According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, when McVay was asked about future player opt-outs, he said doesn’t expect to see additional players bounce for the season, but he’ll still be 100% supportive of anyone who does decide to take that route.
