A proposal being voted on by the NFL that would give teams an alternative to the traditional onside kick is gaining some serious momentum around the league in recent days, as reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
The proposal, originally sent in by the Philadelphia Eagles, calls for teams to have the chance at either kick the normal inside or getting the chance to convert a 4th-and-15 from their own 25-yard line.
It should be noted, however, that no team would be allowed to try this more than twice in a single game.
