Rams' Robert Quinn heads to Rio for Olympics

IRVINE, Calif. -- Los Angeles Rams defensive end Robert Quinn is in Rio de Janeiro, getting ready to watch his sister, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn, compete in the Summer Olympics.

Camacho-Quinn, 19, took first in her heat in the opening round of the 100-meter hurdles, automatically qualifying for the semifinals on Wednesday afternoon. While representing Puerto Rico, her mother’s home country, the University of Kentucky freshman ran the race in 12.70 seconds, third overall among the six heats.

Quinn approached Rams coach Jeff Fisher about the possibility of watching his sister in the Olympics earlier this summer, and Fisher agreed weeks ago to excuse him from practice if she reached the later stages.
