Los Angeles Rams receiver Tavon Austin is doubtful for this Sunday's game against the New England Patriots after a chest injury kept him out of practice all week.
Austin, who was given a $42 million extension in late August, has had an underwhelming season, compiling only 492 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns through the first 11 games. But his presence in the intermediate passing game and, occasionally, in the backfield helps free up other receivers, most notably Kenny Britt, who has already set career highs in receptions and yardage.
