The Los Angeles Rams announced Thursday that they’ve placed QB Dylan Thompson on waivers.
This leaves Jared Goff and Sean Mannion as the only quarterbacks on the Rams’ 90-man roster.
Thompson, 25, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster, but was later signed to the 49ers practice squad.
San Francisco elected to promote him to their active roster towards the end of the season, but he was unfortunately released shortly after last year’s draft.
